Treena lives in Georgia where she has been providing services to LiveOps since May of 2016. A few months after becoming an independent agent, she was laid off from her full-time job and was grateful that she had LiveOps to fall back on. In fact, she says it was a blessing in disguise, because she was overwhelmed and tired from working too much. Her life is without a doubt much quieter now than it was during her 15-year career with the U.S. Air Force.
Treena comes from a military family. Several of her family members on both sides served in the Army and Navy. As a child, she traveled with her uncles on her mother’s side as their careers stationed them in various countries across the globe. In the Air Force she worked as a liaison between Generals at the base and the civilians of the town the base was located in. She worked and lived in Italy, China, Korea, Germany, and Japan.
Serving in the military and living abroad taught Treena to adapt to her changing environment. She’s comfortable and confident speaking to anyone, which of course serves her greatly when taking calls.
What she learned has helped her through all her life’s challenges. She says when facing adversity, “You have your tears about it, then you say, ‘here’s my next step’”. She doesn’t travel much out of the country anymore, but she has traveled a good deal within the U.S. since moving back here in 2000. Her son is in college now, and when he graduates they are planning to visit Japan together.
Thank you Treena for your service and for sharing your story!
