The New Year brings many new things. New calendars, New Year’s resolutions and new opportunities. The holidays tend to be a time of reflection, renewal and recognition of what’s really important to you, while the New Year puts those into practice.
What are you looking for in 2016? If it’s a new work opportunity, have you considered working from home?
You may think working from home is only for a certain type of person or in a few industries, but with each New Year more companies are offering work from home opportunities. And more people are finding work from home that fits their passion, their skills, and their lifestyles. The general group of “people who work from home” are as varied as the creatures in the ocean. For example:
A military spouse with children needed to be available for her kids before and after school, and wanted a flexible work opportunity that would move with her when deployments changed. She didn’t want to waste time on a commute and money on travel expenses. Working from home has made it possible for her to attend school events, be more active in her community and care for her sick mother—while not impacting her earning ability.
A retired insurance agent missed working with people every day, but didn’t want to go back into an office setting. She held insurance licenses in multiple states and wanted to generate some extra income. She loves the freedom to set her schedule and the ability to take time off whenever she wants or needs to.
A new dad was laid off from his job and unemployment wasn’t covering his family’s expenses. He found a flexible work-from-home opportunity that he has continued, both part-time and full-time, for 15 years. He enjoys the flexibility, variety of opportunities, and the freedom of knowing he can always find work.
A licensed life and health insurance agent was tired of working too many long hours and missing out on her children’s activities. She found a work-from-home opportunity to supplement her 9-5 job. Soon she realized that she was earning enough from the work from home opportunity to leave her 9-5 job—helping support her family financially while also making more time to spend with them. She loves that she has finally found work-life balance.
A Director of Operations was disabled in a car accident and unable to meet the demands of her job. She needed a way to supplement her disability income that would allow her flexibility to schedule personal appointments to ensure her recovery. She has been able to establish her own successful business, continually learn new skills, and fit work around her life.
What do all of these people have in common? They have discovered the benefits of working from home as LiveOps independent call center agents. Things like setting your own schedule. Making work fit around your life. Avoiding long commutes. Saving money. Saving time. Helping to support your family or your passion. Above all, being your own boss and in control of your future.
And nearly anyone can enjoy these perks of working from home. You can be a stay-at-home parent. Someone who was laid off from their job. A person looking to supplement their income. A new graduate just getting their feet wet in the job market. Someone with a passion for helping people. Or any combination of those.
The New Year is brimming with opportunity. And success takes many forms. Make the most of your year by taking advantage of every opportunity that comes your way and striving for success. You never know what amazing things you’ll find.
