This week is Customer Service Week and we'll be celebrating amazing customer service champions all week long.

This year’s Customer Service Week logo includes the word “exceed” and I think that is truly the hallmark of great customer service. I know that when I’ve been on hold for a while, I can be … well let’s just say a little grumpy. But when that call is answered by someone who acknowledges my frustration and then exceeds my expectations, I feel good. It restores my faith in people and changes the way I treat people for the rest of the day.

Think about that. As a customer service champion you can change a person’s entire day and impact everyone that person interacts with. Talk about making a difference in the world! No wonder we’ve dedicated an entire week to celebrating customer service champions.
