We’re seeking a Tax Software Support Contractor to provide remote support for a leading tax software program. Submit invoices and receive payment for completed services pursuant to contract 
Invoice $0.34 per talk time minute for providing services during the 2026 tax season
Agents new to the program are eligible to receive a $300 incentive for meeting client metrics through Tax Day
Additional performance-based pay may be announced during the season.
ICs are responsible for their own taxes and expenses

Opportunity Details:

Contract Type: Independent Contractor (1099)
Location: Remote – *United States
Schedule: Choose your own schedule by self-scheduling 30-minute blocks or commits 
Hours of Operation: (January-April Peak): 7 days a week, 8:00 AM –12:00 AM ET

Requirements:

Strong communication, active listening, and customer service skills
Experience taking inbound and outbound calls
Computer skills, including navigating multiple systems and documenting call notes 
Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with diverse individuals 
Ability to sit for long periods 
Patience and empathy
Ability to provide services pursuant to your contract independently 
Available to provide services on October 14 and 15 
Comfortable using screen-sharing tools 
Adaptable to changing procedures and tech challenges 
Experience with inbound/outbound customer support 
Provide your own equipment, including a Windows operating PC (Macs, Chromebooks, and tablets are not supported)

Duties & Responsibilities:

Provide exceptional customer care (not tax advice) to users of the largest tax software providers in the nation
Independent Contractor Agents provide product support and service with a smile by interacting with customers via Screenshare
Research and locate answers to tax software questions within the client's digital library, while maintaining reassuring engagement with the customer
Use your analytical, critical thinking, and organizational skills in combination with your troubleshooting and problem-solving knowledge to quickly provide solutions
Demonstrate a sincere desire to assist the customer and put the customer's needs first

Technology Requirements

Internet: Wired Ethernet connection required (Wi-Fi must be disabled)
Computer Operating System: Genuine, licensed Windows 11
Phone Operating System: Android 14+ or iOS 17+ (iPhone 13 or newer), with biometric authentication enabled
Security Software: Microsoft Defender Antivirus and Firewall enabled
Download Speed: 20 Mbps or higher
Upload Speed: 5 Mbps or higher
VPNs/Virtual Connections: Not permitted
Memory (RAM): Minimum 8GB (16 highly recommended)
Processor: Minimum of 4 cores (6 highly recommended)
Monitors: Dual monitors with 1920 x 1080 resolution or higher
