Agent Spotlight: Merissa, Building Success Around What Matters Most

April 28, 2026 | A Day in the Life of a Liveops Agent | Why Liveops - Agent stories

Every month, we recognize a standout individual who provides services for Liveops and makes a meaningful difference through their dedication, reliability, and care.

This month, we’re proud to celebrate Merissa, the newest Agent of the Month, for her positive attitude, consistent support, and commitment to helping those around her succeed.

A Reliable Presence from the Start

Merissa was nominated by the support team for a healthcare transportation program, where she has been a dedicated part of the team since the program’s beginning. Her reliability, positive attitude, and willingness to support others have made a strong and lasting impact.

They noted that Merissa is always willing to support special projects, help ensure client metrics are met, and share her knowledge with fellow agents. She’s known for being available when others need assistance and for bringing a steady, positive approach to the program.

That willingness to help, paired with her reliability and strong sense of commitment, has made Merissa a valued presence across the program and a wonderful example of what it means to show up with purpose.

Building a Business That Fits Real Life

For Merissa, Liveops has always been about creating a business that fits around what matters most: her family.

As a mom of two children who need extra care and attention, being present at home is her top priority. She began providing services through Liveops about a year and a half after her youngest was born with serious medical needs. At first, it was something just for her, a way to step outside the constant cycle of doctor appointments and caregiving responsibilities.

Over time, it became much more than that.

Liveops gave Merissa a way to support her family financially while staying home and remaining available for her children. That balance has made a meaningful difference in her life, allowing her to build something that supports both her personal responsibilities and professional goals.

Finding the Right Fit

Merissa’s top tip for running a successful business with Liveops starts before applying to a client opportunity.

She encourages agents to research clients ahead of time and look for opportunities they genuinely connect with. When an agent aligns with a client’s purpose or enjoys the product or service, she believes the work can feel more rewarding and easier to stay committed to over time.

She also emphasizes the importance of adaptability. Client expectations can change, and being open to those changes is part of building long-term success.

For Merissa, success isn’t just about showing up. It’s about choosing opportunities with intention, staying engaged, and being willing to grow along the way.

Staying Prepared and Focused

Preparation plays a major role in Merissa’s daily routine.

Before her scheduled time commits, she logs in early to get ahead of any possible technology issues and make sure everything is running smoothly. She also checks client updates and policy changes before beginning, so she feels ready and informed.

That extra preparation helps her stay focused and confident throughout the day. It also reflects the care she brings to her work and the effort she puts into delivering a strong experience.

Learning Not to Expect Perfection

Looking back, Merissa says one thing she wishes she had known when she started was not to expect perfection, especially when providing services for a new client.

Growth takes time. Confidence builds with experience. Each interaction creates an opportunity to learn, improve, and become stronger.

She also offers an important reminder for other agents: don’t compare yourself to others. You never know what someone else’s calls really look like or what challenges they may be working through. Instead, she believes agents should focus on meeting or exceeding client expectations and being the best version of themselves.

It’s a grounded perspective that speaks to Merissa’s focus, humility, and commitment to continuous improvement.

Balancing Business and Home Life With Intention

Flexibility is one of the biggest reasons Merissa values Liveops.

When planning her schedule, she keeps her family’s appointment calendar close by so she can choose time commits that work around homeschooling, medical appointments, and day-to-day family responsibilities. She admits it can be easy to overcommit, especially when she enjoys the work, so she tries to stay mindful about protecting the balance she’s worked hard to create.

Early morning commits before her children wake up, and evening hours tend to work best for her. That leaves the middle of the day open for her family, helping her stay present for the moments and responsibilities that matter most.

For Merissa, that balance is everything.

Getting to Know Merissa

Outside of providing services through Liveops, Merissa enjoys Nicholas Sparks books and movies, and she’s a longtime Grey’s Anatomy fan. She has watched all 20+ seasons multiple times and also loves Virgin River, which she’s rewatched more than once.

When it comes to music, Morgan Wallen is a favorite. Picking just one song, however, isn’t happening.

This year, Merissa is focused on making more time for herself. Fitness used to be a big part of her life, and she’s working on bringing it back, whether through her home gym or trips to the gym when possible.

She’s also looking forward to a major personal milestone: her first kid-free weekend in more than six years.

Celebrating Merissa

Merissa brings dedication, reliability, kindness, and a strong sense of purpose to everything she does. Her story is a powerful reminder that success doesn’t have to come at the expense of family. It can be built around it.

We’re proud to recognize Merissa as Agent of the Month and celebrate the meaningful impact she continues to make across the Liveops community.

Congratulations, Merissa!
