Liveops Agent Spotlight: Angela, who found flexibility in “unretirement”
In March 2021, Angela and her husband relocated from Oregon to Arizona, the “state of her dreams.” At 64 years of age, Angela had more than 35 years of experience in the medical administration field and sought an opportunity in her new home. However, Angela’s job-seeking wasn’t yielding the results she was looking for.
“I interviewed with several hospitals and medical offices and was never satisfied with the hours, pay and extended commute,” said Angela. “Since I had worked from home for years at a previous position, I knew the discipline it took and the enjoyment I received when I didn’t have to commute and spend extra money on clothing and food.”
This is when Liveops came in. Liveops has been featured in the FlexJobs Top 100 Companies to Watch for several years, and often showed up in searches for remote opportunities. Plus, with a headquarters in Scottsdale, Arizona, Angela thought it would be the perfect fit (though she would be working from her home office).
“I was impressed with their reviews on all platforms, the integrity of their mission statement, longevity of the company and solid business model.”
Angela contracted with Liveops to provide virtual tele-services as a self-employed independent contractor. She quickly gravitated towards selecting programs that aligned with her calling to assist patients and she currently provides patient support for a leading pharmaceutical company.
“I couldn’t be more pleased with the flexibility, the great team and the resources that are available to help me.”
With her new-found freedom, as a self-employed independent contractor with Liveops, Angela has time to enjoy her retirement hobbies, including baseball, Monarch Butterfly conservation and wildlife photography.
“I see myself doing this for many years until I fully retire (if I do) and my cat loves that I am home too!”
